CLASSROOM NEWS
INFANT/TODDLER ROOM
Our Theme: "African American Inventors".

RUN, ROLL, SAIL or FLY and tell our month of Transportation goodbye.
January was full of wheels, wings and feet. We learned how people
travel the world and the vehicles that help them get around. Our Walk
around the world project was one of the children’s favorite activities.
On to the month of February and we will be learning all about African
American inventors. We will focus on one inventor each day. Through
all eight domains the children will explore and recreate their invention
in their own image. We will also include special project and activities
for Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year. We also will have a special
parent mingle in our class and light refreshments will be provided

PRESCHOOL ROOM
Our Theme: "Health & Wellness"

For the month of February, we will learn about our Health and Wellness, and celebrate Valentine's Day. We will try new health foods, more fun fit preschool activities. Teacher Candy will show us some yoga poses. We will talk about why we have to be healthy, for example what is good for our body what is not so good.

PRE-K ROOM
Our Theme: "Growing Up Healthy"

February is all about being Healthy!  We will learn a new sport with Coach JR, we will cook nutritious fun snacks.   PreK will talk about what it means to be healthy and how we can stay healthy.  We will make a healthy cookbook to share with all of our families!
VALENTINE'S DAY
VALENTINE CARDS-If you choose, please have your child bring in Valentine cards on Friday, February 14 in the morning. Only put your child’s name on the “From” section and leave the “To” section blank, it makes it easier when distributing the cards.

SPECIALIST HIGHLIGHTS
Coach JR, our PE Specialist in Pre K, will begin splitting the group into 2 so that he can work more one on one with the children.  Instead of one 45 minute session he will do two 30 minute sessions and focus on groups sports such as Basketball and Soccer.  This will help each child get more individualized attention and the opportunity to learn a team sport.  PE will remain on Wednesdays and we ask that your child be dressed to move and run around so they can participate comfortably
