LEARNING OBJECTIVES The children will be learning about the changing of the seasons. They will discuss winter sports and activities. The children will discuss what types of clothing we wear in the winter. The children will discuss hibernation for certain animals.
CLASSROOM NEWS TK/KINDERGARTEN The children have been working on different holiday projects, practiced for their Winter Show. The children have been doing a lot of art with Janette and Sabrina.
1ST & 2ND GRADES The children have been studying holidays around the world.They taking turns being the reader of the day. The children have been doing a lot of music and dance. The children have been learning new board games.
2ND & 3RD GRADES The children have been enjoying art projects with Brittney. They have been enjoying different sports with Felix. The children have been practicing their conflict mediation skills.
4TH - 8TH GRADES The children have been doing cultural art with Nikki. They have been practicing conflict mediation skills. The children have been doing a variety of sports with Coraima.

SPECIAL EVENT Martin Luther King, Jr. Presentation Friday, January 17 - 3:30PM-4:00PM Teacher Josiah will lead a Martin Luther King, Jr. talk and discuss about why it is important to learn about him in school.
Friday’s from 4:00PM - 5:00PM. This month's clubs are Tennis, Playground Games, Dodgeball, Football, Felt Art and Accessory Art.
SPECIALTY CLUBS H.I.T.S. TENNIS CLUB The children will be introduced to and try a variety of tennis techniques.
MARATHON KIDS RUNNING CLUB The children will learn about teamwork and being healthy through staying active and running.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT We would like to spotlight Janette Wernick for all of her wonderful art projects. She’s covered many different cultures. We had many creative winter art projects. The children enjoyed all the painting, oil pastels, and messy art.
