WINTER EVENT PREPARATIONS In December, Footstep at Cipriani takes a break from Kids Clubs and will focus on our winter event. The children will rehearse their songs and get ready for craft night. Our hope is to reduce the stress of the holiday season and provide a fun and memory-making craft evening.
FOOTSTEPS' GARDEN Over the last month, First Grade has spent time watching the radishes grow. Fifth and Second grades added their plants to the garden, winter vegetables, squash, and cauliflower. Alistair led an introductory discussion with the Fourth Grade to prep them for planting. And Third Grade is sprouting seedlings before transferring them to the planter in the garden.

Site Council met on Thursday, November 14. We went over the Site Calendar and discussed ideas to change from a Winter Sing Performance to a Craft Night. The time of the event was discussed, along with what motivates a family to come out on a dark winter night.
The Site Council asked about how things were going with the new principal and all appears to be going well. Mitch confirmed everything was running smoothly and the general feelings were positive.
Staffing was also discussed with a reference to the increase in the license to 180 children capacity. Children have been added from the waiting list, but we are still in need of staff. Minimums days are covered for staff during parent conference week.
The Site Council is needs recruits for this school year. If you are interested, please see Mitch for more information.
