It’s Fall! In October students will have a month full of observations and exploration. The children will learn about autumn season, various apples, and pumpkins. Simultaneously children will practice the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors with various fall themed activities. We will emphasize the importance of problem solving through attainable tactics (e.g. stories, children solutions kits, and 1-3-5min hour glasses).
SHARE DAYS - WEDNESDAYS
Children can bring a non-violent toy, non-choke hazard, and non-glass/ceramic toy to share during circle time on Wednesdays only.
Place share toy in the share box upon arrival.
Share day has been a fun opportunity for children to problem solve and take turns.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES There will be a parent conference sign up form by the parent’s desk –end of October. If needed email Graciela to arrange different time/date if not presented on the sign up form.
LAST MONTH RECAP
Ms. Stephany, Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Lourdes worked with students on cutting with scissors.
Students continue use the emotions chart throughout the day they move their picture according to their emotion felt.
Kids had many teamwork & problem solving opportunities during daily activities and routines.

NEW STAFF MEMBER Teacher Lourdes, has transferred from Nesbit Puma Cubs site. She was experience with infants through Pre-K. She has been working closely with students to get to know them better and start building positive relationships with the students and learning everyone's name.
Janette, Art Specialist scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays, last month, the children enjoyed cutting and gluing art projects.
Adrian, P.E. Specialist scheduled on Wednesdays, the children have been practicing the crazy 8’s warm-up, running eight laps around the world, and playing mosquito tag.
Ying Li, Mandarin Specialist scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the students are attentively engaged in practicing the Mandarin songs.
Check daily your parent mailbox and the white board for announcements by the entrance.
Please help us remind your child to wash their hands when you first arrive to school.
Make sure your child has extra clothing in their cubbies and check for unclean clothing in green bags daily.
If your child visits the doctor’s office bring a doctor’s note the next day of attendance stating specifically that the child is not contagious
Electronic sign in/out system daily. If electronic system doesn’t work use paper sign in/out. Also sign off for absences on the binder (e.g. put date, sign, and reason for absence).
Please remain courteous while entering and leaving the apartment complex premises.
Last day of each month will be Pajama Day, your child can wear their comfortable/safe to play in pajama.
Dress you child accordingly given the cold, rainy, & windy weather.
On Wednesday its Share Day, if a toy is to be shared, it goes into the Share Box upon arrival & is picked up from the Share Box upon departure.
One stuffed animal is okay for rest or naptime.
Please make sure to check your child’s cubby DAILY for dirty clothes and avoid over filling your child’s cubby with their belongings; children cannot find their essentials throughout the day.
Please take naptime items home on Fridays to launder and return Monday.
Teachers continue to provide paper so parent(s)/family members can write a note every morning as words of encouragement and reminding your child how much you love them. Place the note in box by the sign in/out binder.
Scholastics book orders are due every second Tuesday of each month. By purchasing books for your child you allow our school to earn points to buy books for the classroom.
